Manchester United and Newcastle United faced each other in the last 16 rounds of the English League Cup.
Newcastle United closed the first half of the match played at Old Trafford Stadium, leading 2-0 with goals scored by Almiron in the 28th minute and Hall in the 36th minute.
The guest team, which was also effective in the second half, increased the difference to 3 with Willock in the 60th minute.
As there was no other goal in the remaining minutes, Newcastle United won the match 3-0 and advanced to the quarter-finals.
